MEMORY OF THE WALL

Aquarelles and oils on paper on board

In my work, I investigate two- and three-dimensionality of painting. I envision the base of a painting as space, on which the paint creates works of art. In my paintings, space is metaphorically within a space.

I paint with watercolours and oil colours on paper. Besides the traditional bases of paintings, I have pasted my paintings on furniture. In an exhibition, the paintings form picturesque rooms, inside of which the viewers can walk into.

The treatises of two and three-dimensionality are linked to different facets of the society, such as the presence of exclusion, homelessness and melancholy, but also freedom and drive for doing things.
